Thar – Daybreak Edition by Mahindra Goes on Sale
The Thar – day break edition by Mahindra and Mahindra, the leading SUV makers of the country has been launched. It was showcased at the auto expo held in February, 2016. The models of various cars are generally upgraded with their exterior and interior styling or to increase their performance. These up gradations are especially done for the class of people who want a little extra from their vehicles. Now, for the Thar day break edition the company, Mahindra and Mahindra has come up with a customization kit. Apart from rendering a bossier look to the vehicle, the company can add up the customized features to the car for those who want more.
Thar – Daybreak Edition
Under the hood, the vehicle has a 2.5 litre common rail diesel (CRD) engine which throws back a power of 105 BHPs at 3800 RPMs and generates a torque of 247 Nm at 1800-2000 RPMs. Transmission is taken care of by 5-speed manual gear box which transmits power to all the four wheels of the car. For the new Mahindra Thar Daybreak, the engine gives a decent on and off road performance. It has also been provided with the rear axle differential lock system. The braking system is taken care by disc brakes at the front while there are drum brakes at the rear. The vehicle provides a seating capacity to 7 people and has a boot space of 384 litres and has a fuel tank which has a capacity of 45 litres. The semi-elliptical leaf spring suspensions take care of the suspension system both at the front and the rear. As far as fuel efficiency is concerned the vehicle is an average performer on city roads.
The exterior of the car has been beefed up to give it a macho look. There are a number of improvements which have been carried out. The front grille has been made all black which gives a masculine touch to the frontal portion. The projector headlamps, the LED daytime running lights and the additional auxiliary lights give the vehicle a certain character. From the sides the wheel arches have made bolder and the wheels sporting 37 inch Maxxis Trepador off road tyres look stunning. The new hood also decks-up the style statement. The new bumpers at the rear in addition to the electric winch and the LED tail lamps add style as well. The dual exhausts have been provided with chrome to bring out a truly sporty look.
The interior of the Thar Daybreak edition has got a dual tone theme and a more stylish dash board. There are a number of features which include a tripod instrument cluster which is a new addition, a touch-screen infotainment system, the HVAC controls which are also new, four speakers which are water-proof, a new steering wheel, a roll-over bar, rally seats made by Sparco, a new gear lever and the silver accents. The vehicle has front cup holders and power steering as well. The interiors also feature a digital odometer, an air-conditioner and a heater. Overall, the new edition of the Thar from Mahindra will obviously make heads turn.
