Tata is already in the news for its new SUV Tata Harrier’s launch but the company is also working on its upcoming hatchback Tata 45X. Tata 45X was also first revealed in the Auto Expo 2018 and it turned out to be another stunner from Tata. Since then it has been also the talk of the Motor market of India. There is very less information about the model so soon but whatever is know till now is definitely making us impatient for the launch.
Sources have confirmed its launch in August 2019 and some spy shots have recently revealed its dynamic front profile with moderately large windows in spite of being covered in heavy camouflage.
It has a slim upfront grille and raised bumper with wraparound headlights. The A-pillar and roof-line is slanted giving it a coup-like look. The tail lamps have also been fitted with LED and what is quite evident from the picture is that it is going have a newly designed larger alloy wheels.
After the Harrier, this is going to be second Tata model to flaunt the latest Impact Design 2.0 and all cars built with this concept will have more wheel arches and clean surface.
According to expert’s revelation, the Tata 45X will have the largest in its type infotainment system. It is also going to include analogue dials and a T-shaped console centred with AC vents fixed below the screen.
Tata Motors have recently stated that all the cars built on Impact Design 2.0 concept with have dual colour combination with high quality materials to improve the tactile experience.
The car will have ample scope of customisation and it come with multiple standard accessories and in-cabin storage. So you can expect it to be quite spacious.
As the launch is not anytime soon, the engine specifications are not clearly revealed by the company. But experts are expecting powerful versions of the 1.2 litre petrol and 1.5 litre diesel engines to be installed like we have seen in the Tata Nexon.
The gearbox of Tata 45X will be expected to be a six speed manual and there are information about a twin-clutch gearbox under development. Recently, the glimpses of Tata 45X was caught during a test drive and sources believe that it will be further fine tuned for its suspension or dynamic traits.
From Tata’s recent commitment to safety, it is needless to anticipate about the safety features of this hatchback. For quite some years now Tata has prioritized safety and we can see that in the new Harrier too.
This Tata hatchback will have a price tag likely around the price of models of its kind such as Hyundai i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Honda Jazz etc. Tata is working to make this hatchback budget friendly for the common people and first time car buyers.
It is expected give tough competition the models of its domain with its exclusive design. Further revelation about engine specifications and other features will confirm to its capabilities to top the sales in 2019.
