It is quite likely that the Mahindra XUV 700 would be making the official debut in India towards the end of the year. The XUV 700 is to replace the XUV 500 as the flagship product from the homegrown carmaker. According to t6o recent developments, it has been suggested that the premium 4x4 based on the SsangYong Rexton would be making the official debut in India sometime by the end of 2018. The price of the car would be somewhere in the range of Rs. 20 - Rs. 25 lakhs. Upcoming Mahindra XUV700 The test mule of the vehicle had been spotted in India a number of times. The car would be taking up the Ford Endeavour, the Honda CR-V and the Toyota Fortuner. The exterior of the car It is being expected that the XUV 700 coming to the Indian market would be quite similar to the present 2018 SsangYong Rexton. But the designers from Mahindra is sure to give the car some personal touches. Some of the things you can expect are new alloy wheels, a big front grille and the Mahindra badge. The Interior of the Upcoming Car According to some sources, the new SUV would be a little different on the inside. The steering design, for instance, would be a little different and so would be the colour scheme. The 20178 SsangYong Rexton was based on the LIV-2 concept that was displayed at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. Much of the design features remained true to the original concept. Some changes were noticed in the headlamps and the front grille and bumper. The upcoming design would feature three row of seats for the occupants. The features to be noticed The XUV 700 would be a premium SUV from Mahindra. There would be a host of comfort features on the car. The car is sure to be having the LED daytime running lights and the LED projector headlamps. There would also be automatic rain-sensing wipers, the electric sunroof, the leather upholstery, the dual-zone automatic climate control, the automatic headlamps, rear air conditioning vents, GPS navigation, audio controls mounted on the steering and others. The car would also have Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and WiFi support. The car, being a luxury SUV, would also have lots of safety features. The car would have the ABS with EBD and dual airbags as standard. Rear parking sensors, traction control and the ISOFIX child seat mounts would also be present. The transmission options would include a 6-speed manual and a 9-speed automatic. It might also be so that Mahindra would offer a 225 BHP producing 2.0-litre Naturally Aspirated Petrol engine. The mileage of the car is expected to be somewhere around 15 kmpl. The premium SUV from Mahindra would have lots of competition from the Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Compass, Volkswagen Tiguan and the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport.
