The car is now in a comfortable position and challenging the segment leader, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire very well. The new generation model had been launched in May this year and the selling price is in the range of Rs. 5.6 lakhs to Rs. 9 lakhs. The car has brought along a new design philosophy. Also, it is also the first sedan in India to be offered in both the petrol and diesel automatic options.
The compact sedans are no more within the boot-on-hatch images. The cars are now approaching the compact luxury class. The stakes have now been raised by these cars and what should be expected of them in the market.

What is Good About The Vehicle?
This is the second generation of Honda Amaze. This car sports a new design and a muscular look which appeals to the young generation of the nation. The car has been modelled much like the Honda Civic or the Accord.
The front end looks much the same. The wheel design and even the taillamps have derived inspiration from the two siblings. The square looks of the car are surely something that is quite appreciated by the enthusiasts. The awkwardness of the compact sedan philosophy is also reduced by these looks of the car.
It might be true that the Amaze is not the first car to offer the diesel automatic unite in the market, but it is the first one that has offered the diesel CVT engine. The car is surely setting a new trend in the Indian car market and offering new technologies that haven’t been there before.
What is not that good about the car?
The petrol engine has been found to be not quite up to the mark. Considering the competition on the Indian car market, particularly in this category, it is expected of Honda to offer something really good.
The small capacity petrol engines have been the stronghold of Honda for a long time. This is the area where some progress needs to be seen.
The quality of plastics used by the car has been quite inconsistent. Though this is not actually an issue and no problem has been faced, it is not something you would like to come up against as you are taking a deeper look at the cars.
Considering that the rivals are Hyundai Xcent and the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, these are some of the scenarios that Honda needs to give some attention to.
Which Variant Should be Preferred?
It must be mentioned that Honda offers the power windows, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and air conditioning in all the variants.
Thus it can be said that the S variant with CVT can be opted for in any of the fuel options or the top spec VX in the manually powered versions.
The Honda Amaze is surely amazing people and the sale figures have seen a huge rise due to the wonderful features of the car. It is definitely a car worth considering.
