Skoda Superb was one of the first Skoda cars to be introduced into the Indian market about 10 years back. The previous-generation Superb was known for its power, fuel-efficiency, features and even the space that it offered. The new-generation however is a lot more stylish and spacious than the previous generations. Engine– The Superb comes with a 2.0-litre diesel engine and 1.8-litre petrol engine. The petrol engine produces 180bhp power while the diesel on the other hand is the 2.0-litre TDI which produces 177bhp power and 350Nm of torque. The petrol engine is mated to a six speed manual transmission or the seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

The diesel variant comes only with the six-speed automatic option. The new MQB platform installed in the car makes the engines have better performance. Both the petrol and diesel have good power and at the same time are highly fuel-efficient as well. The diesel engine promises a 14 km/l in city and 18 km/l on highways, while the petrol variant offers a mileage of 11 km/l on urban roads and 13 km/l on freeways.

Design– It is characterized by a wide radiator grille & centrally positioned logo, a dynamically contoured bonnet & razor-sharp headlights. The front grille of this sedan looks stylish and it has chrome inserts on it that make it look appealing.

The headlamps are also well chiseled and this makes the Superb look extremely aggressive from the front. Skoda Superb is available in a wide range of colors including Candy White, Magnetic Brown Metallic, Black Magic Pearl Effect and Business Grey Metallic.

Interior– The Superb is known for the cabin space. One can now enjoy luxurious legroom in the front and back of the car. The Superb also boasts of the largest interior space in its class. It comes with keyless entry, push start and stop, in-dash music system with Canton speakers, electrically adjustable front seats, ventilators for the front seats and 17-inch alloy wheel.

Leather upholstery enhances the look of the car along with a panoramic sunroof with a bounce back function for the extra oomph. You can also pair your smart phone with your new Superb and your phone’s display is mirrored on the infotainment screen. The safety of the passengers is also kept in mind with installation of multiple airbags and ABS system. It even has ESP with traction control, reverse parking sensors, rain sending wipers, automatic headlamps as some of the additional safety factors.
