The Mahindra XUV500 changed how the Indians, and even the international spectator for that matter, perceived the brand. The XUV500 is an ingenious locally manufactured car with a global design and outlook, with an excellent build quality. This car is loaded with features and successfully filled the space for a premium SUV ranging between Rs.10 to 20 lakh. This monocoque SUV ramped up sales figures like no other car in its size or segment.
The radiator grille in the front with chrome accents look much like the Mahindra Scorpio, along with the blacked out head lights with bending projector lights. One of the key uniqueness of the Mahindra XUV500 is the long list of its loaded features. The XVU500 is powered by the 2.2-litre m-Hawk engine which is capable of generating 140 hp and 330 Nm of torque with a mileage of around 16 kmpl, which offers smooth ride quality. This car also comes with improved suspension for a more sporty and better high speed riding. There are 3 variants of this SUV – W4, W6 and W8 which contain the similar basic styling, with the option of All Wheel Drive being offered in the top trim models W8 and W10. With the launch of the face lifted version of the XUV500, we can expect a lot improvements in terms of ride and driving experience. Although the improved designs on the XUV500 look a bit over the top, they make for an overall look and feel of the car which is undoubtedly great.
