Honda confirmed that the executive model would go on sale somewhere around February 2019.
The Civic would be the next premium launch after the CR-V which had been set to be launched on the 9th of October, 2018. It had been reported earlier that the recently unveiled Civic facelift would be introduced in India.

The exteriors are getting a sporty update
The refreshed sedan gets subtle modifications. The exterior would get piano black accents. The front bumper is set to be more angular. The chrome elements would be there for the fog lamp housings.
There would be a chrome setup on the rear of the updated model. The revision would also get new alloy wheel designs. The rear bumper would be featuring black inserts that would hold the reflector units. The car definitely looks a little more botched than before, giving the car a thriving and sporty look.
The interiors would get a classy look
The premium styling would be noticeable in the sedan. The interiors would get an all-black treatment. There would be chrome elements on the dashboard as well as the centre console.

A touchscreen infotainment system would be featured along with automatic climate control. The proximity key entry system would have a push button start and a wheel mounted cruise control. The driver seat has an 8-way power adjustment.
The engine would have both petrol and diesel options
There is a 1.8-litre i-Vtec petrol engine that would produce 139 bhp of maximum power at 6500 rpm. The peak torque of 174 Nm is produced at 4300 rpm. It comes with a 6-speed manual transmission and also an optional 6-speed CVT gearbox.
The 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel engine would offer 160 bhp of power at 4000 rpm and 300 N of peak torque at 2000 rpm. The diesel variant would feature a 6-speed manual transmission or the 9-speed CVT gearbox.
The car would be laid with features
Compromising on the features is something that Honda never indulges in. The Civic is a premier housing sedan. It offers great comfort and convenience. The car is expected to have an electric sunroof, LED projector headlamps, LED tail lamps with LED DRLs, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and reverse parking sensors with a multi-angle camera.
The car is also expected to have automatic climate control, heated seats and a steering wheel mounted controls. It would also be lade with safety features like brake assist, ABS with EBD and 6 airbags. There would also be a collision mitigation braking system and forward collision warning. The vehicle stability program and hill climb and descent assist would be there.
The car would offer a pretty good mileage
The petrol engine would offer a mileage of 12 to 14 kmpl, while the diesel engine would offer a very high mileage of about 22 kmpl. There are technologies like turbocharging and high strength alloy pistons being used to get the wonderful results.
The upcoming Civic sedan would be facing some stiff competition in the market but is expected to hold its own. There would be rivals like the Skoda Octavia, the Toyota Corolla Altis and the Hyundai Elantra.
